This is a discussion group for "The Little Giant." Anything relating to the P&LE under control of NYC, PC, or themselves is MORE than welcome. Modeling tips projects are also welcome. ENJOY! Maybe with this we can close the black hole of P&LE info.

The premier organization for preserving the railroad history of Western Pennsylvania is the Beaver-Lawrence Railway Historical Society (was Beaver Valley Junction). This site contains information relating to their current equipment collection, a photo gallery and information about their efforts to acquire and preserve a classic bricks Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad passenger station at West Pittsburg , Pa.

This website for one of America ’s premiere railroading historical organizations provides information on accessing their magnificent collection of New York Central related photographs, drawings and documents. This organization is a valuable source of historical information to anyone interested in the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad, which was a New York Central subsidiary over much of its existence.

Wonderful site to learn about Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania ’s industrial, railroading and river history and where you can find places that bring it to life. Their archives include a substantial collection of P&LE Railroad drawings, maps and photographs.

The preeminent magazine of railroading has extensive archives available at this site, including many relating to the P&LE, including one done by our Jack Polaritz on the Little Giant’s Berkshires.
